The village of Cochrane was the site of our pilot project in the Iintegrate Rural Development approach. We believe that development is the develpoment of the of the people, not the structure. Emphasis was placed on people participation, participation in all phases of any given activity from planning to implement.
Ongoing activities were: - Trainning in small business
- Poultry
- Vegetable pilot
- Groundwork on community centre
We have sucessfully completed this programme and has handed it over to the Cochrane Development Community. Presently our community development activities are in the villages of Mahaut and Yam Piece. |
